Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about APARA's E&I-EPC services, certifications, and how we work.

What is E&I-EPC engineering?

E&I-EPC stands for Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Procurement and Construction. It is a turnkey delivery model where one accountable contractor handles the full scope — from design through procurement, installation supervision, FAT/SAT and commissioning — for the electrical and instrumentation systems of an industrial facility.

Who does APARA work with?

APARA delivers E&I-EPC projects for industrial clients in oil & gas, chemicals, tank storage, ports, energy transition and utilities.

What industries does APARA specialise in?

APARA specialises in Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Tank Terminals, Ports & Maritime, Industrial Gases, EV Charging, BESS integration and Industrial Infrastructure projects.

Does APARA hold ISO and safety certifications?

Yes. APARA is ISO 9001 certified for quality management and VCA certified for safety, health and environment — the standard required for contractors operating on industrial and petrochemical sites.

What standards does APARA work with for protection and automation?

APARA works to IEC 61850 for substation automation, IEC 62443 for OT cyber security, IEC 61511 for functional safety (SIL), ATEX/IECEx for hazardous area classification, and IEEE 1584 / NFPA 70E / NEN-EN-IEC 60909 for arc-flash and short-circuit studies.

Can APARA support a single phase of a project, or only full Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC)?

Both. APARA supports clients across the full electrical project lifecycle — project development, basic & detail engineering, procurement, construction supervision, testing & commissioning, and operation engineering as a service — or in any individual phase where specialised E&I expertise is needed.
