Feasibility Studies

Feasibility studies provide beneficial analysis along with qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure that a project can be completed to its design specifications. Our feasibility study and cost estimates options help our customers save time and avoid unnecessary costs associated with their projects. Our reports will detail the benefits and disadvantages of each of the options; including the design, layout, function, approvals, practicality and funding.

Front-End Engineering Design

At this stage, before start of EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), various studies take place to figure out technical issues and estimate rough investment cost. Our studies will figure out the technical issues of each of the options, cost impact, practicality, and consequences.

Cost Estimates

Estimating and costing electrical projects is a crucial step in every construction project. Without electrical estimating, it is difficult for owners to accurately calculate total project costs. On the flip side, it is also hard for contractors and trade contractors to know how long a project will take or what materials are needed. It’s important to look at all discipline interactions as well and see where their schedule impact.  To have the knowledge and skills to do proper cost estimating is one thing, but if you lack the tools to do the job, you’re going to have a hard time creating fast and accurate estimates of complex projects. We are usually using Cleopatra Enterprise but also client-specific tools and templates.

Constructability

Constructability is a project management technique for reviewing the whole construction process before commencing with project implementation. Constructability reviews will reduce or prevent design errors, delays, and over expenditure by identifying potential obstacles to construction.
Constructability during project development and implementation improves cost performance by 6,1% and schedule performance by 7,1%, according to the latest benchmarking done by CII (CII, 2019). In terms of value addition from constructability reviews, the cost benefit ratio is in the range of 1:10, additional cost of constructability: project benefit.

NEN compliance review, Design Implementation and Consultation

Any new project in the Netherland needs to follow certain standards and codes. Various building components and services have applicable codes that must be followed to get approval or permit for your project.
You will often hear contractors discussing about the NEN. NEN lays outs the codes for safe electrical activities and sets standards for different electrical equipment and appliances. The goal of the NEN is to create a safe construction that can detect, prevent and mitigate hazards effectively.
